Spa Yoga with Christine Barford at Yoga Noma is…. hands down my favorite yoga/meditation class ever. Not just in DC, in the whole world! Maybe I need to head back there to calm down? Twist my arm..
THE CLASS: Spa Yoga, If you’re looking for a class to stretch and reset your mind, you’ve found it

WHAT TO BRING: A yoga mat if you have one (the studio also provides them), clothing that allows you to move freely and water.
FIT BITCH REVIEW:
Raise your hand if you don’t stretch after you workout. The quick 5 minute or less stretch doesn’t count… Is your hand up? Mine definitely is! Cue Spa Yoga. An hour and fifteen minutes of stretching with low lighting, great music and an ultra relaxing atmosphere.
Christine, the instructor, describes the class as a “moving mediation” which means you are moving and stretching your body, while also practicing mindfulness. Don’t know much about meditation or mindfulness, no worries! Christine walks the class through each step, as well as assists (always optional) to help you reach deeper stretches.
This class is great for all levels, regardless if it’s your first yoga class or you consider yourself a yogi.
